Who is Windrider?

Hello World! Welcome to the world of Elvan wherein I will entertain and delight with innovative new fantasy for all the fans of the genre out there. I'm working on my first novel in a series, "Elvan: The Legacy of Thaer" and invite you to whet your appetite on a short excerpt from the book that answers the question: Who is Windrider?
Read, Enjoy, Comment; you help Elvan grow.

{He had had the dream again. Darkness, this time, scarcely lit by a few twinkling stars, and out of the darkness, the great white horse. Only he wasn’t quite sure it was a horse, at least not in the normal sense. This beast was more like the fantastic creature of myth, the unicorn. Except, instead of a single conical horn spiraling out of its forehead, there was a diamond-shaped knob in its place; silvery and gleaming. Earlier in the afternoon and the night before he had this same dream, this beast galloping across what appeared to be the sky. But how? Such a thing was impossible, yet this was a dream, unbound by the laws of the ordinary. Just as he was about to stir awake, his mind’s eye wandered down to the hooves of the beast and for the first time he saw what was keeping the animal aloft; on each leg, inches above the hoof, were affixed a pair of small silvery wings on either side of the ankle. These wings were beating so fast that he hadn’t noticed them properly before. In the previous dreams, all he could remember was a hazy blur where the hooves were. If this was true, he was noticing something new. If this was something new, yet a part of the previous continuity of the dream, then maybe this was not a dream. Somewhere out there, this beast, this wind-rider, was making its way steadily across the sky.}
